CASE STUDY - ASSET TRACKING AND MANAGEMENT

TRUE FRAUD

A rash of early returns revealed that a subcontracted field tech was unscrewing a hidden AND CRITICAL part from a REMCAL repaired assembly. REMCAL identified an "experimental" early return in November and a subsequent rash of early returns starting in February.

A total of 14 fraudulent failures within a 3-month period were recorded before the scam was shut down.
